Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta is unavailable to face Barcelona at Parc des Princes after suffering a groin injury in training.

Midfielder Lucas Moura and striker Ezequiel Lavezzi will be recalled to the side after being rested for Friday's win over Montpellier, while Marco Verratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic return from European bans.

Italy international Verratti is expected to get the nod alongside Blaise Matuidi in central midfield ahead of Clement Chantome and David Beckham.

Barcelona duo Xavi and Jordi Alba have shaken off thigh injuries that forced them to miss the 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo.

Javier Mascherano, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and David Villa were all rested on the bench for that game and could return to the starting line-up.

Defenders Carles Puyol (knee) and Adriano (hamstring) and striker Pedro (suspension) are sidelined, but goalkeeper Victor Valdes returns from a domestic ban.

DID YOU KNOW?

Paris Saint-Germain are on a 23-match unbeaten home run in European competition stretching back to a 4-2 defeat against Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the Uefa Cup group stage in November 2006.

Les Parisiens are looking to reach their second Champions League semi-final. Their only previous quarter-final appearance was also against Barcelona in 1994-95, and it ended in a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made 29 Liga appearances for Barcelona in the 2009-10 season, scoring 16 goals.

Barcelona have only won two of their last eight away matches in all competitions (W2, D3, L3).

The Catalan giants have won their last six Champions League quarter-finals and their last defeat at this stage came against Juventus in 2002-03.

Barcelona's overall away record against French opposition is W3, D2, L2. Their most recent visit to France resulted in a 1-1 draw against Olympique Lyonnais in the 2008-09 Champions League round of 16.

Prediction
Barca will have learned the lessons of their last away outing in Europe - which ended in a drab 2-0 defeat at Milan - and will try to play a high-tempo passing game and pin back the hosts inside their own half. Aside from their obvious attacking threat, PSG are also formidable at the back and are well equipped to play on the counterattack.

Editor's Prediction
PSG 1-1 Barcelona

PROBABLE LINEUPS

BAYERN MUNICH
Neuer
Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba
Gustavo, Schweinsteiger
Muller, Kroos, Ribery
Mandzukic

JUVENTUS
Buffon
Barzagli, Chiellini, Bonucci
L'stiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah
Matri, Quagliarella

Bayern Munich could welcome back Jerome Boateng and Bastian Schweinsteiger, who both missed the 2-0 second-leg defeat to Arsenal, for their quarter-final showdown with Serie A champions Juventus.

However, Javi Martinez is suspended for the clash, which means Luiz Gustavo should replace the Spaniard. Long-term absentee Holger Badstuber remains sidelined with ruptured knee ligaments.

Brazilian centre-back Dante and Philipp Lahm are in danger of missing the return leg in Turin on April 10 should they pick up a booking in this encounter.

Juventus, meanwhile, have concerns over the fitness of attacker Sebastian Giovinco, who was scythed down by Esteban Cambiasso in their 2-1 Derby d'Italia victory over Inter, although he has been included in the 22-man squad.

Mirko Vucinic is recovering from flu, which means Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri are likely to be Conte's preferred striking partnership, although Vucinic could be fit to feature.

Stephan Lichtsteiner, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio are walking a discipinary tightrope as a booking incurred here would mean they miss the next match.

DID YOU KNOW?

Bayern Munich go into this match in sparkling form having destroyed Hamburg 9-2 at the weekend. Claudio Pizarro grabbed four goals and two assists.

In the previous meeting Bayern beat Juventus 4-1 in Turin to eliminate them from the group stages in 2009-10 season. Only Gianluigi Buffon and Claudio Marchisio are likely to survive from that starting XI in this game for the Bianconeri.

Die Roten coach Jupp Heynckes masterminded victory over Juventus when he was Real Madrid boss, guiding them to a Champions League final 1-0 win in 1998.

Juventus last lost an away match in Europe back in 2010 when they were beaten 4-1 by Fulham in the Europa League.

Fabio Quagliarella has netted four goals in 248 minutes of action in the Champions League.
The Old Lady have not reached the last four since overcoming Barcelona in the 2002-03 campaign.

Prediction
Both teams go into this match on the back of fine form in their domestic leagues with Juventus winning the Derby d'Italia and Bayern putting nine past Hamburg, ensuring the stage is set for a thrilling encounter on Tuesday. Juventus cruised past Celtic in the last 16, while die Roten made hard work of Arsenal, but the Germans will be fully focused on taking a lead with them to Turin - although it will not come easy.

Editor's Prediction
Bayern 2-1 Juventus
