Poslednje kolo pred plej-of šampionata Brazila - Karioka

ASTON VILLA

Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett
Delph, Westwood, Ireland

Arsenal will be without Bacary Sagna (knee) after he injured himself in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek, so Carl Jenkinson should start at right-back, with the Englishman's three-match suspension having run its course.

Kieran Gibbs (thigh) remains sidelined so Nacho Monreal will return at left-back after being cup-tied for the Champions League tie. Per Mertesacker will therefore probably make way and Thomas Vermaelen will move back to centre-back.

Olivier Giroud could start the game after he was introduced from the bench during the week, while Mikel Arteta will face competition from a fit again Abou Diaby in central midfield.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, could have Charles N'Zogbia (knee) back, although he may start from the bench. Richard Dunne (groin and hip) suffered a setback in his recovery, so is unlikely to play, elsewhere in defence, Chris Herd (foot) is also out.

Mark Albrighton (foot) and Gary Gardner (knee) remain long-term absentees, while Fabian Delph came through unscathed against West Ham so should continue in the starting XI.

Paul Lambert may also have Gabriel Agbonlahor and Karim El Ahmadi back in contention after they missed the clash with the Hammers with illness.

DID YOU KNOW?

Arsene Wenger's side have created fewer goalscoring chances from corners than any other side this season.

Christian Benteke has now scored in five successive appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions.
Villa have been shown more yellow cards than any other Premier League team this season (54), while Arsenal have been shown the least (24).

Harry Redknapp is still without Jose Bosingwa (back) and Andrew Johnson (knee) but is expected to welcome back a host of previously injured players.

Fabio (hip), Junior Hoilett (hamstring) and Julio Cesar (groin) could all be selected after returning from their respective problems, while striker Loic Remy is also in contention despite a groin problem.

Bobby Zamora could also start, having come off the bench in QPR's last two matches, while Esteban Granero, Andros Townsend and Jermaine Jenas will present Redknapp with a selection dilemma in midfield.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be without Paul Scholes (knee), Wayne Rooney (illness) and Phil Jones (ankle).

However, Sir Alex Ferguson boasts an otherwise fully fit squad and has the rare luxury of not having a midweek game the following week.

Nani and Chicharito may be in contention for starting roles after their goalscoring exploits against Reading, while Rio Ferdinand could also feature in defence.

Manchester United are unbeaten in 14 league matches and 16 games in all competitions. Their last domestic defeat came in mid-November at Norwich City.
The Red Devils are comfortably clear at the top of table with a 12 point lead - a gap bigger than at any point last season.
United's three top scorers this term, Robin van Persie, Chicharito and Wayne Rooney have scored 51 goals in all competitions between them so far.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side boast a strong record on their travels this season, having amassed nine league wins on the road while suffering just two defeats and two draws. They are 13/2 to win 2-0 with bet365.

Prediction
Rangers have it in them to score, but barring a Redknapp-inspired miracle they shouldn't have anywhere near enough about them to trouble the in-form Red Devils.

The 67-year-old, who is set to be replaced by Pep Guardiola this summer, is likely to hand a start to winger Arjen Robben in preparation for the cup showdown, which Franck Ribery will miss due to suspension.

Defender Holger Badstuber is sidelined for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury and striker Claudio Pizarro, who played six seasons for Bremen over two stints, is out with a virus.

Greece defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos should be available for boss Thomas Schaaf after recovering from a bout of flu, but right-back Theodor Gebre Selassie is still recovering from surgery to replace a broken bone in his hand, which means Serbia international Aleksandar Ignjovski will get the start.

Midfielders Pedrag Stevanovic and Philipp Bargfrede and striker Niclas Fullkrug are all long-term absentees due to knee injuries.

DID YOU KNOW?
Bayern Munich have won all six of their matches in 2013, conceding just once and scoring 16 times.

Bayern have triumphed in each of their last four Bundesliga matches against Werder Bremen and have not lost to Saturday’s opponents since suffering a 5-2 defeat in September 2008.

Four Bayern players (Mario Mandzukic, Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos and Bastian Schweinsteiger) have scored at least five goals in the league so far this season.

Werder Bremen are 11th in the Bundesliga table coming into Saturday’s match and are 29 points adrift of the league leaders.

Coach Thomas Schaaf is very much a one-club man, having joined Bremen as an 11-year-old in 1972 before embarking on a 17-year professional career with the club as a defender. He has managed the team since 1999.

Bremen striker Nils Petersen is on loan from Bayern Munich, having scored four goals in 15 matches in all competitions for the Bavarians last season.

Prediction
Bayern have shown no signs of weakness in 2013. The goal they conceded against Arsenal was the first their first of the year and they are unbeaten in all competitions going back to late October—a run of 19 matches. Number 20 should come on Saturday.

Editor's Prediction
Bayern 3-1 Werder Bremen

Statistika Nizovi pobeda , remija ,poraza

Nepredvidivost jednako uspeh.

Statistika predstojeceg fudbalskog vikenda

Prethodnog vikenda pokrenuli smo temu o kojoj malo ko priča.
Ponavljamo.
