Championship Opta Facts – February 23rd & 24th

Blackburn v Leeds
Blackburn Rovers have won just one point from their last three league games against Leeds United.
Rovers have lost just one of their last five league games (W2 D2 L1), but this defeat came in midweek at Hull City.
Only Bristol City (11) have won fewer points in away games this season than Leeds (13).
Leeds have picked up only one point from their last 18 available on the road in the Championship (L5 D1).
Leeds have conceded a league-high 73% of goals in the second half of matches this season.

Blackpool v Leicester
Leicester have won four and lost none (D1) of their last five games against Blackpool.
Only Millwall (5) and Wolves (4) have won fewer points than Blackpool (8) in their last 10 Championship matches.
After going on a run of five wins and a draw in the Championship, Leicester City have lost two successive matches.
Only Bristol City and Middlesbrough (6) have lost more league games in 2013 so far than Blackpool (5).
Blackpool have scored a league-high 72% of their goals in the second half of Championship games this term.

Bolton v Hull
Hull are unbeaten in four games against Bolton (W2 D2), however, prior to that, Bolton had won the previous five encounters (all competitions).
Bolton have gained the most points from losing positions (15) on home soil this season.
Hull's Gedo has scored three in his last three games for the Tigers.
The Trotters have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 league games, while Hull have managed three in their last five.

Brighton v Burnley
The Seagulls haven't beaten Burnley at home in four attempts (D2 L2), stretching back to 1996.
Burnley are without a win in four games in the league (D2 L2).
This season, in the eight games when Brighton have gone ahead at home, they are yet to lose (W6 D2).
Burnley have lost 18 points from winning positions away from home this season, a divisional high.
Charlie Austin has scored just four goals in his last 13 appearances for Burnley, this after netting 20 in his previous 17 games (all comps).

Bristol City v Barnsley
The last five games in this fixture have seen 18 goals scored, averaging at 3.6 per game.
Barnsley have won their last six games in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process but they've only kept two clean sheets.
Barnsley's Chris Dagnall has scored five in his last six games.
Bristol City have kept two clean sheets this season, a divisional low.
Since Keith Hill was sacked as manager on Dec 29th, Barnsley have won 16 points in the Championship. Only Watford (19) have won more in this period (excluding games played on the 29th before Hill was sacked).

Charlton v Nottingham Forest
Forest have beaten Charlton three times in the last five (all competitions), keeping three clean sheets.
Charlton have only won four times at home this season, a joint division low along with Wolves.
Prior to their midweek win against Huddersfield, Forest had gone five games without a win, drawing two, losing three.
Forest have gained 10 points from losing positions away from home, the highest in the league alongside Blackpool.

Huddersfield v Ipswich
Huddersfield and Ipswich are the joint-lowest scorers in the Championship this season with 34 goals.
The Terriers have managed just one win in their last 10 (L4 D5) in the league and new manager Mark Robins lost his first league game in charge 6-1 to Forest.
This season the Tractor Boys have come from behind to win just once, losing 15 and drawing four of 20 when behind.
After winning back to back away games in December, Ipswich have failed to win in their last three away matches in the league (L2 D1).

Peterborough v Birmingham
Peterborough have failed to beat Birmingham in six attempts (L2 D4), with three of the last four meetings ending in a draw.
The Posh have won back to back league games and are unbeaten in four (D2).
The Blues are without a win in three but have lost just once in seven games (W2 D4).
Peterborough's Robert Olejnik has made 124 saves this season, a joint high with Charlton's Ben Hamer.

Sheffield Wednesday v Crystal Palace
In the last 10 meetings (all comps), Palace have won three and Wednesday have won three, with the rest ending all square.
Palace have lost seven times this season with six of those coming away from home.
Palace top scorer Glenn Murray has scored five in his last four league games, and is the league's top scorer with 27 goals.
Wednesday's Michail Antonio has nine assists this season, a joint high with George Boyd, Chris Eagles and Bakary Sako.

Watford v Derby
Watford's biggest defeat of the season was away to Derby last September; the Hornets lost 5-1.
However, Watford now boast the league's best away record with 10 wins to their name.
The Hornets have picked up the most yellow cards in the league, with 63 being awarded to Gianfranco Zola's men.
The Rams are without a win in four (L1 D3), although striker Jamie Ward has four goals in his last five games.
Watford have scored more goals in the opening 15 minutes of Championship games this season than any other side (10).

Middlesbrough v Millwall
The Lions have lost their last five league games, their worst run in the league this season.
In the 14 games Middlesbrough have gone ahead at home, they've won 11 times (D1 L2).
The Lions have not managed a clean sheet in 10 league games and have conceded 12 in their last five (two goals scored).
Middlesbrough have won just four points in their last eight league games (W1 D1 L6).

Wolves v Cardiff
Wolves are without a win in 11 games (all comps) and have slipped into the relegation zone following a defeat to fellow strugglers Barnsley.
In the last 10 games between the two sides, 34 goals have been scored, averaging 3.4 goals per game.
Wolves have lost 19 points from winning positions at home this season, the highest in the league. Cardiff's Fraizer Campbell has scored three goals in his first four games for the Red Dragons.
